The Accounts Manager - Reconciliation is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through meticulous reconciliation processes. This role involves overseeing the reconciliation of accounts from various marketplaces, bank statements, and other financial systems, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.Key Responsibilities:
Reconciliation Management:
Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of all accounts, including but not limited to marketplace transactions, bank accounts, and internal financial systems.
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present detailed reconciliation reports to senior management, highlighting any discrepancies, their causes, and actions taken to resolve them.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Process Improvement:
Develop and implement effective reconciliation processes and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Continuously review and refine reconciliation procedures to enhance the effectiveness of the reconciliation function.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Operations, and Customer Service, to ensure accurate recording of transactions and resolution of discrepancies.
Liaise with external stakeholders, such as banks and marketplace partners, to address any reconciliation issues.
Compliance and Audits:
Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to reconciliations.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and guide junior members of the finance team in reconciliation processes and best practices.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the finance department.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliations. Experience with marketplace and bank reconciliations is highly desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
