Job Description


Position: Accounts ManagerDepartment: AccountsWork Location: South KolkataReport to: PartnerJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced and diligent Accounts Manager to lead our Accounts team and oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, financial management, and team management for up to 10 years.

  • Timely and accurate execution of all accounts and financial transactions.
  • Maintain absolute Zero tolerance for financial noncompliance.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient workflow from the entire accounts team.
  • Supervise, guide, and inspire the accounts and finance team for high performance.
  • Coordination with external auditors for year-end audit process.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Supervise the accounts and finance team by monitoring and reviewing functions, sharing feedback, training, and supporting as necessary.
  • Coordinate and manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors or consultants.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure their proper implementation.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
Required qualifications & skillset:
  • BCom (Hons)/ MBA (Finance)/ CA.
  • Proven experience of 5 years in a senior accounting or finance role, a track record of progressively responsible positions for more than 8 years.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to data integrity.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and priorities.
