Responsibilities:
Purchase Accounting:
• Record and reconcile purchase transactions in the financial system accurately and promptly.
• Maintain and update purchase registers, ledgers, and other relevant documentation.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure proper recording of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
• Verify and process vendor payments in accordance with established procedures.
Payments and Reporting:
• Payment to vendors based on approved expenses.
• Make sure the required tax (TDS, TCS, or GST under RCM) is deducted or paid.
• Reporting and maintaining the daily payments.
Banking Operations:
• Manage day-to-day banking activities, including cash management, fund transfers, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with banks for opening and closing accounts, obtaining bank statements, and resolving any banking-related issues.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal control procedures.
• Prepare and submit the necessary documentation for banking transactions.
• Payment of funds via NetBanking, Cheque, DD, or HDFC Enet Banking.
Financial Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles, tax regulations, and relevant laws governing purchase and banking activities.
• Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting and banking regulations, communicating relevant updates to the team.
• Calculation and Payment of ESI, EPF, or any statutory tax applicable to employees.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably in purchase accounting and banking.
• Sound knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and banking procedures.
• Proficiency in using accounting software Tally, Quickbooks, or Zoho, and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and banks.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
