Job Summary: The Accounts Executive plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions, records, and reports for the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations while providing support to the finance department.
Responsibilities:
Financial Data Entry: Accurately record financial transactions in the organization's accounting software or systems.
Accounts Payable: Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payments to vendors, ensuring all bills are paid on time.
Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage incoming payments from clients or customers, follow up on overdue accounts, and reconcile discrepancies.
Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a regular basis.
Budgeting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights into financial performance and variances.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, prepare and file tax returns, and maintain records for audits.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, trends, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Communication: Collaborate with other departments and team members to address financial-related inquiries and provide necessary support.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist in special financial projects or tasks as assigned by the finance manager or senior management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.(Preferred)
• Proven experience (typically 2-5 years) in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of industry-specific accounting principles (if applicable).
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA (optional but preferred).
