Job Description

Job Summary: The Accounts Executive - Imports will be responsible for managing all financial transactions related to imports, ensuring compliance with GST, ITR, and tax regulations. The role involves handling billing, accounting entries, and preparing customs documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax management, with specific experience in dealing with imports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
• Handle all financial transactions related to imports, including invoicing, billing, and accounting entries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all import transactions.
• Prepare and process payments to international suppliers.
• Tax Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with GST, ITR, and other tax regulations.
• Prepare and file GST returns, income tax returns, and other required tax documents.
• Liaise with tax authorities and manage any queries or audits related to imports.
• Customs Documentation:
• Prepare and manage all necessary customs documentation for imported goods.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth clearance of goods.
• Reporting & Analysis:
• Generate financial reports related to import activities.
• Analyze import data to provide insights and recommendations for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Internal Coordination:
• Collaborate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• Work closely with the finance team to integrate import-related financial data into overall company accounts.
• Support the finance manager in preparing budgets and forecasts related to import activities.
• Compliance & Auditing:
• Ensure all import-related activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting and tax management, specifically related to imports.
• Strong knowledge of GST, ITR, and other tax regulations.
• Experience with customs documentation and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
