Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong knowledge of accounts and finance, including GST compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, practical experience in handling accounts, and a willingness to travel locally for business needs such as vendor visits, audits, and financial reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare financial statements such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly/quarterly/yearly closures.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
GST Compliance:
Handle all GST-related activities, including:
GST return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
GST input credit reconciliation and mismatch resolution.
Liaising with vendors for GST invoice corrections.
Assist in GST audits and assessments by providing relevant records and explanations.
Stay updated with changes in GST regulations and ensure compliance.
Vendor & Client Management:
Coordinate with vendors and clients to ensure timely payments and invoicing.
Conduct financial reviews and provide necessary clarifications as needed.
Local Travel:
Travel locally to vendor offices, client locations, and government departments for audits, GST compliance, or other finance-related tasks.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate and present detailed financial reports to senior management.
Analyze variances in financial data and suggest corrective measures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Mandatory:
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) with 15+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
OR Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com) or MBA in Finance with 5-10 years of experience.
Experience & Skills:
Technical Expertise:
Strong working knowledge of GST laws, filings, and reconciliation.
Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, SAP, or similar tools.
Analytical Ability:
Exceptional analytical skills for financial data interpretation and decision-making.
Soft Skills :
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle vendor/client queries effectively.
Additional:
Willingness to travel locally as required.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
Work Environment:
Office-based work with frequent local travel to vendor sites, client offices, and government departments.
Requires multitasking and working under tight deadlines.
