Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in accounting processes and contribute to the smooth operation of our finance department.

Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records by entering data into accounting software and spreadsheets.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients or vendors as needed.

3. Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies.

4. Expense Management: Record and categorize company expenses. Ensure adherence to expense policies and procedures.

5. Assist in Budgeting: Support in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance and report any variances.

6. Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in preparing reports for management and regulatory authorities.

7. Assist in Audits: Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with auditing standards and procedures.

8. General Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to the finance department, such as filing documents, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Candidates with relevant coursework or vocational training will also be considered.

2. Experience: Prior experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous but not required. Fresh graduates or entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

3. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel is preferred.

4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

5. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and vendors.

6. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

7. Integrity: High level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
