An account assistant, also known as an accounting clerk, supports the accounting team by performing a variety of tasks, including:
• Financial records : Maintaining financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets, and ensuring accuracy
• Financial transactions : Processing financial transactions, including payments, bills, and invoices
• Financial reports : Preparing financial reports and statements
• Communication : Communicating with clients, vendors, and other accounting professionals about billing, payments, and other financial matters
• Administrative tasks : Performing clerical and administrative tasks, such as answering phones, filing, and data entry
• Tax returns : Setting up tax returns
• Financial inconsistencies : Identifying and addressing financial inconsistencies
• General ledger : Maintaining the general ledger system and daily worksheets
• Accounts payable and receivable : Assisting with accounts payable and receivable duties
