Role Overview: The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the finance department in day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting in reporting requirements. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Record Keeping:
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments in accordance with organizational policies.
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of financial transactions in the accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, etc.).
• Bank Reconciliation:
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate reflection of transactions.
• Assist with the reconciliation of accounts, including petty cash, bank accounts, and advances.
• Expense Management:
• Monitor and track project-related expenses to ensure compliance with budgetary allocations.
• Assist in preparing reports on expenses and identifying discrepancies.
• Ensure timely processing of bills and payments.
• Support in Financial Reporting:
• Assist in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors, auditors, and government bodies.
• Support the finance team in preparing annual budgets, financial statements, and donor reports.
• Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure all financial records are filed and maintained properly for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Assist in ensuring adherence to accounting policies, NGO guidelines, and statutory regulations.
• Support with preparation for external audits and reviews.
• General Administrative Support:
• Assist in the preparation of financial presentations, reports, and dashboards.
• Handle day-to-day office administration related to accounts, including correspondence with banks, vendors, and government agencies.
• Assist in the preparation and management of statutory filings such as GST, TDS, and other compliance-related tasks.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting/Finance.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems is required.
• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or any other accounting software used in NGOs.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial transactions.

Reporting:

This position reports to the Project Manager in Akola in Maharashtra.

Travel Requirements

• Extensive travel within Maharastra and Kolkata, is required.

Compensation:

Annual CTC: upto 3 Lakhs ( Fixed) + Annual Variable Pay + Commitment Bonus

•(Compensation package will be in line with qualifications, experience, and last salary drawn).•

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
