Job Role: Team Lead-Accounting & Finance

Job Summary:
Accounting leads are responsible for maintaining the client's finances. The Accounting Lead position usually involves a solid understanding of general business, impeccable record keeping, attention to detail, and well-balanced and dynamic social interaction skills. They will not only assist in the day-to-day accounting activities, but they will also be responsible for coordinating and maintaining all open projects and tasks with the accounting associates and client managers.
Reports to: Accounting and Finance Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership : Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the accounting team members. Delegate tasks effectively, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Financial Reporting : Supervise the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices.
• Training and Development : Provide training and professional development opportunities to team members. Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations,s and ensure the team is informed and compliant.
• Problem-Solving : Address and resolve complex accounting issues and discrepancies. Investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Vendor and Customer Relations : Manage relationships with key vendors and customers, resolving financial inquiries and discrepancies promptly.
• Reporting: Prepare and present periodic financial reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
• Ad Hoc Projects : Lead and participate in special projects, system implementations, and process enhancements as assigned by the Account Manager.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's / master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Relevant professional certification is preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Prior exposure to US accounting standards is a plus.
