As an Accounting Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, as well as compliance with relevant regional laws and accounting regulations. You will oversee the financial processes within region, including allocation and review of staff and preparation of key financial reports to inform management decision making.


Responsibilities:

Accounting

• Ownership of financials for two entities: income statement, balance sheet and cashflow;
• Responsible for day-to-day approvals, accuracy of financial books and review of processes;
• Preparation of key monthly reporting deliverables including variance analysis, account reconciliations and close process to uphold integrity of financial records;
• Manage banking process and cashflow forecasting / management, including intercompany settlements;
• Ensure all accounting functions operating effectively in region including amongst others: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Prepaid and Accruals, Deferred Revenue, Commissions Plans;
• Manage reconciliation of monthly revenue recognition on a project basis;
• Ensure and maintain consistency with global accounting policies and business processes, including risk management and internal controls.

Financial Reporting

• Maintain, interpret and delivery timely and accurate financial data;
• Lead the Annual budgeting process in region and future tracking of revenue and costs;
• Preparation and presentation of the monthly reforecasting process to senior management;
• Prepare monthly cashflow forecasts including intercompany settlements;
• Ad hoc analysis and projects as required.

Governance & Regulatory

• Manage the annual local audit processes and preparation of financial statements with external providers;
• Ensure compliance with governance and filing requirements in region;
• Submission of all relevant Tax documents and timely payments;
• Input into other global processes as required such as tax, ISO, supplier surveys.

Other

• Form a working relationship with the regional and entity executives and leadership teams;
• Co-ordination of workload and tasks amongst team members working within region;
• Assist with development of team members and ensure appropriate resourcing;
• Develop, document and implement process procedures as identified;
• Cover for team members where required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

• CPA / CA required
• 10+ years general ledger accounting and financial management
• Proficient with use of accounting software
• International experience
• Business acumen and commercial finance skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to analyse and present data to senior management
• Management experience
• Inquisitive, independent leader

• NetSuite/OpenAir experience
• Experience of software migration
