We invite you to join us.ServiceNow is currently looking for an Accounting & Compliance Manager to support our Global Accounts Payable operations based out of Hyderabad office. This role will report to the Sr. Manager with responsibility of process excellence related to Global Accounts Payable operations that includes but not limited to; Accounting and Reconciliations, Tax, Statutory and SOX compliance, work with Internal and External Auditors, Manage audit requirements, Cross-functional responsibilities and Change Management, Merger & Acquisitions. The position will work closely with the teams managing upstream and downstream processes to provide best in class results and desired outcomes.The successful candidate is expected pay attention to details with strong Accounting knowledge, expertise on End-to-End Accounts Payable Process, Financial Reporting, SOX Controls, Internal/External Audits, US 1099 and 1042 filings, Global Tax compliance, who can relate the dependencies around Procurement, GL processes, Vendor Setups, highly self-motivated and innovative, with proven experience in successfully supporting the Global Accounts Payable projects, quality, and excellent service delivery with actionable business insights.What you get to do in this role:

  • Accounting Manager primary responsibility includes Managing Compliance for Global Payable Function.
  • Ownership of Accounting and Reconciliation activity working with corporate accounting & other stake holders.
  • Own Month/Quarter/Year end close activities including but not limited to Payable period close tasks, Account Reconciliation.,
  • Own relationship with Financial Reporting, Statutory Auditors, Internal Audit and Sox Teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment.
  • Analyse the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Drive close optimization and efficiencies around month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Drives Close calendar co-ordination representing Payable Function
  • Assist in investigation and resolving complex accounting issues timely and effectively.
  • Identify open/unreconciled items and take prompt actions to resolve them quickly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tax, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting & FP&A) to identify opportunities related to Compliance or Controls and strengthen the same.
  • Take ownership AP accounts and perform analytical reviews of those accounts on a regular basis.
  • Major focus to automate manual activities within Close & Compliance area.
  • Update and ensure adherence to the AP policies, procedures, SOX controls / GRC, government and/or legal requirements.
  • First point of contact for any escalations, process challenges and system issues around AP Compliance/Control & Accounting.
  • Responsible for scalability in processing accuracy that impact the general ledger and financial statements and has ultimate authority over classification and booking of all AP transactions.
  • Participate on any application development/implementation from Control/Compliance perspective.
  • Support strategic and cross functional initiatives and projects to meet desired results.
  • Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams, business owners and global colleagues to identify and implement options to improve the systems and quality.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you have:
  • A professional qualification such as CA/CPA/CMA with good knowledge of US GAAP requirements is preferred.
  • Experienced in General Accounting and Controllership with good knowledge on Payable Function
  • Should have good knowledge on AP subledger integration, Prepaid & Fixed asset integrations.
  • Knowledge around Reconciliation application like Black line
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet the deadlines in a fast-paced environment without losing accuracy

Basic Qualifications:
  • Qualified Accountant (CA., CPA or equivalent)
  • Overall 12+ experience, with a minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing responsibilities as mentioned above.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP required.
  • Knowledge of P2P functions, general accounting practices, and SOX requirements required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) required.
Preferred Technical Skills and Experience:
  • SAP, VIM and Ariba
  • Dashboards
  • Experience working in a multinational or Global Finance organization.
