Job Title: Audit/Accounts Assistant Summary:
The Audit/Accounts Assistant will support the audit and accounting functions within the organization. This role involves assisting in financial audits, maintaining accounting records, and providing administrative support to the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of financial audits, including gathering and analyzing data, and performing testing of internal controls.
  • Support senior auditors in conducting fieldwork, documenting audit procedures, and identifying areas for improvement in internal controls and processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, such as filing documents, answering phones, and responding to inquiries from internal and external parties.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to facilitate the flow of financial information and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and assist in implementing updates as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Prior experience in auditing, accounting, or finance is desirable but not required.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and procedures.
