: Accountant at Brew Cafe, Salt Lake Sector I, Kolkata

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team at Brew Cafe, located in Salt Lake Sector I, Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in accounting or in a CA firm, with at least 1 year of specific experience in the hotel or food and beverage (F&B) sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
• Maintain accurate financial records including daily sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash transactions effectively.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process invoices and payments promptly.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable accounts.
• Follow up on overdue payments and ensure timely collection.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports.
• Taxation and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with local taxation regulations and filing of tax returns.
• Assist in tax planning and optimization strategies.
• Inventory Management:
• Track inventory levels and reconcile physical stock with records.
• Generate inventory reports and manage stocktaking processes.
• Audit and Internal Controls:
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits.
• Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Software Proficiency:
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) proficiently for recording transactions and generating reports.
• Maintain digital and physical records systematically.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CA Inter) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Prior experience in the hotel or F&B sector is highly desirable.

Location: Brew Cafe, Salt Lake Sector I, Kolkata

Experience: 2-3 years in accounting or CA firm, preferably with 1 year in the hotel or F&B sector.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
