Position Title: Accountant
Location: 100% Remote - India
Salary: Up to $23,000 (INR 19,50,000) P.A. (Depending on experience)
• Working Rhythm: Monday to Friday with an 8-hour workday. Flexibility is provided, but at least 4-5 hours overlap with the UK time zone is required. Occasionally, expect busier days to handle critical priorities.
Contract Type: Full-time Contractor Agreement
Reporting To: Finance Controller

As an Accountant at Nexford, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and supporting key financial reporting activities. You will work closely with the Finance Controller to manage day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to financial planning and analysis. • Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and the general ledger. Assist with monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
• Cash Flow Management and Vendor Payments: Track expenditures, plan cash flow, and ensure timely vendor payments aligned with budgets.
• Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes using accounting tools and technology.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
• Support Forecasting and Analysis: Collaborate with the Finance Controller on financial forecasting and trend analysis.
Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce; part-qualified or fully qualified Chartered Accountants preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with spend management tools is a plus.
• Adaptability: Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn and implement new tools for efficiency.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and interpret financial data accurately.
• Collaboration Skills: Experience working with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
• Experience: Must have experience working with UK/US entities in accounting to ensure familiarity with regional compliance and reporting requirements.
