Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable

Accountant

with 1-2 years of experience to manage the financial records and day-to-day accounting operations of our retail outlet(s). The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cash flow, inventory accounting, sales reconciliation, and vendor payments, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain daily sales records and reconcile POS (Point of Sale) transactions with physical cash and bank deposits Monitor cash handling and petty cash transactions at the store Record and reconcile vendor invoices, purchases, and payments Assist with stock and inventory accounting, including periodic stock audits Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and financial summaries for management Process payroll inputs related to store staff, incentives, and attendance Ensure accurate and timely billing, payment follow-ups, and credit note adjustments Coordinate with the store manager and head office finance team for budget tracking and reporting Support internal and external audits for retail operations

Required Skills:

Good understanding of retail accounting principles and inventory management Proficiency in Tally ERP 9, Zoho Books, or other retail-specific accounting software Familiarity with GST, TDS, and basic payroll processes Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas) Attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of transactions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent CA Inter / M.Com / MBA (Finance) is a plus 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment
