Roles and responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the school, including income, expenses, and budgets.
Accounts Payable : Process invoices, track expenses, and manage payments to vendors and suppliers.
Accounts Receivable : Handle tuition and fee payments from students and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
Budgeting : Assist in the development and monitoring of the school's annual budget, making sure that financial resources are allocated efficiently.
Financial Reporting : Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide a clear picture of the school's financial health to the school's management, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
Audit Assistance : Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Grants and Funding : Assist in managing grants, scholarships, and other forms of financial aid for students. This includes tracking disbursements and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
Tax Compliance : Ensure the school complies with all relevant tax laws and regulations, including filing required tax forms and making timely tax payments.
Financial Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas where cost-saving measures can be implemented.
Software and Systems : Utilize accounting software and financial management systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate financial records.
Financial Policies : Help develop and implement financial policies and procedures that align with the school's goals and objectives.
