Job Summary: The School Accountant will manage and oversee the school\xe2\x80\x99s financial activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with financial regulations, and efficient handling of funds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting the school\xe2\x80\x99s mission. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, receipts, invoices, and other documents.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Monitor and manage school budgets, ensuring expenditures align with budgetary constraints.
- Process payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all staff.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including tuition fees, grants
- Conduct regular audits to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the administration to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts and planning.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide financial analysis and advice to support decision-making processes.
