And we are proud of that because it helps our customers build and power the world we live in - the roads, hospitals, homes, and infrastructure.Position Title: Accountant (Financial Analyst)Job Location: Bangalore - IndiaJob Profile SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team who will have the opportunity to champion our Global Finance Transformation by providing quality analysis from our new Center of Excellence.This is an exciting opportunity supporting Caterpillar\'s Autonomy and Automation (A&A). This team is highly dynamic and is supporting both the Resource Industries (RI) and Construction Industries (CI). The A&A Business Resource Team supports worldwide engineering, CI Product Group and RI Product Development teams working across all machine product groups and many supporting organizations.JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESJob Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Internal management accounting including service center results reporting
  • Financial accounting including analysis and communication of results to management
  • Reporting and analysis related to intercompany service charges of Research & Engineering (R&E)
  • Assisting in the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecast submissions
  • Developing and updating the power BI dashboards (financial KPIs) and the A&A/CI balanced scorecards (quality, cost, velocity and people)
  • Supporting invoices reconciliation for the Caterpillar Trimble Control Technology (CTCT) joint venture
  • High impact business partnering with the relevant business teams
  • Participating in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests
Process Transition & Improvement:
  • Performing the tasks related to the transition of the projects in line with COE scope of work, timelines, business requirements and defined metrics/KPIs
  • Participating in knowledge transfer sessions, defining and owning the documentation (instruction manuals and scorecards/trackers)
  • Partnering with multiple global stakeholders on day-to-day operations
  • Identifying and leveraging on tools and technologies to transform processes
  • Driving continuous improvement via simplification, standardization and automation
  • Embedding change management best practices
Background/Experience/Skills & Capabilities
  • Proven experience in financial & management accounting/reporting & analysis, FP&A, intercompany, balanced scorecard
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, trends and patterns
  • Proficiency with large databases and advanced reporting tools such as Power Query and Power BI
  • Excellent customer service skills working in a global environment with multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes
  • Self-starter, works well independently and in a team, with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in process transitions and transformations in a virtual environment
  • Ability to quickly learn Caterpillar management reporting methodology and knowledge about products, suppliers, and consumers
  • CA, CMA or MBA Finance with 5-7 years of progressive experience
