Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant cum Cashier for our restaurant. This role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth cash flow operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities: Financial Management:Perform day-to-day accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, data entry, and maintaining financial records.
Process and record financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements, cash registers, and credit card transactions.
Monitor and manage petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reimbursement.
Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy. Cash Handling:Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including receiving payments, providing change, and issuing receipts.
Maintain and reconcile cash registers, ensuring they have sufficient change and are balanced at the end of each shift.
Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile them with sales records.
Ensure compliance with cash handling policies and procedures, minimizing the risk of theft or fraud. Financial Reporting:Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and recommendations to management.
Analyze financial data and identify areas for cost reduction or improved efficiency.
Generate financial reports for tax purposes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Inventory Management:Collaborate with the kitchen and procurement team to maintain accurate inventory records.
Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile physical stock with the records.
Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages, and place orders to replenish stock as needed. Customer Service:Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with payment-related inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints promptly.
Ensure a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with customers, maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven work experience as an Accountant, Cashier, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
