  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
  • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Acts as the primary finance department accountant for four or more legal entities.
  • Prepares accurate and timely financial management reports, including internal and external monthly financial statements, quarterly reviews, annual audits, and annual budgets.
  • Prepares general ledger entries, reconciles general ledger accounts, and analyzes financial data. Updates and maintains the general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Creates and modifies financial reports using accounting software.
  • Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Updates and maintains fixed assets and depreciation schedules in the accounting software.
  • Coordinates activities related to capital leases and loans.
  • Prepares mid-year review and year-end audit work papers and assists external auditors during fieldwork.
  • Maintains records for provisions for bad debts, actual bad debts, and recovery of bad debts.
  • Reconciles bank statements.
  • Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles special reports.
  • Operates personal computer efficiently and accurately with company-provided software programs including Great Plains Accounting, Word, Excel, and others.
  • Works with both internal and external auditors in a professional manner.
  • Recommends more accurate and efficient procedures for all accounting department functions.
  • Ensures confidentiality regarding employees, clients, or vendors, disclosing information only as authorized by corporate officials or approved in writing by the Accounting Manager or designated authority.
  • Assists other accountants during month-end close or as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess :
  • Strong computer skills especially within Microsoft Office.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Attention to detail in establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail, demonstrated proficiency in work, good communication skills, pride in appearance and conduct
  • Meticulous work habits, cooperative and pleasant with coworkers
  • Willingness to work overtime, work independently
  • Follow and give detailed verbal and written instructions
  • Clear understanding of workload distribution and priorities
Basic Minimum Qualifications :
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting and minimum of 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous use of Great Plains software preferred
