Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by performing various administrative and clerical tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks and deadlines with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Entry and Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Enter financial transactions into accounting software.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Assist in processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and payments.
• Bank Reconciliation:
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Administrative Support:
• Provide administrative support to the finance team.
• Handle correspondence and communication related to accounting matters.
• Organize and maintain financial files and records.
• General Support:
• Assist in audits and tax preparation.
• Support other accounting projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
