Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee budgeting, costing, accounts management, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have 5-12 years of experience, strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance, and proficiency in Tally and MS Excel. This role involves close collaboration across departments to support financial efficiency and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Budgeting & Costing
• Develop and manage budgets, track financial performance, and implement effective costing strategies.
2. Financial Planning
• Lead financial forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
3. Accounts Closing
• Oversee monthly and annual closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4. Profit & Loss Management
• Prepare profit & loss statements, monitor revenue and expenditure, and identify areas for financial optimization.
5. Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with local financial laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with other departments to support overall business goals and improve financial efficiency.
Accounts Management:
• Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and records.
• Assist in GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and other statutory compliance filings.
Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Taxation and Compliance:
• Assist in tax planning and filing of returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with auditors for statutory audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Internal Controls:
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and controls.
• Assist in maintaining records for audits and manage internal checks.
Vendor and Client Management:
• Coordinate with vendors and customers for timely payment and billing cycles.
• Handle vendor reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
Other Duties:
• Support the finance team in various ad-hoc projects.
• Provide administrative support in day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
• CA Interns, ICWA, or a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
• 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles (experience in logistics preferred).
Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software like Tally.
• Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in MS Excel and financial analysis.
