### Role:

### As an Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the unique opportunity to promote and develop our Bioscience division business with a specific focus on academic accounts in Pune. This sales role requires exceptional skills in generating business for core consumables and benchtop instruments.

### Responsibilities:

• ### Achieve or exceed the sales plan by maintaining existing academic business and developing new accounts.
• ### Drive sales activities, generate leads, and close opportunities to exceed revenue goals.
• ### Implement the annual business plan, critical initiatives, and product workflows.
• ### Support assigned marketing programs in the territory.
• ### Maintain contact with existing customers to promote new products, cross-sell, close deals, and grow sales.
• ### Develop a proven understanding of the features and benefits of our products over the competition.
• ### Play an active role within the assigned region to develop a working knowledge of funding, market dynamics, and end-user needs.
• ### Handle business and meet revenue targets.
• ### Call on customers, plan, schedule, prioritize, and control daily tasks and demand generation activities to increase sales.
• ### Work closely with BDMs/TSS/Inside sales/Marketing for techno-commercial support and increase sales.
• ### Efficiently work with channel partners to drive channels for desired business outcomes in assigned accounts.
• ### Coordinate with customer service/Finance/Logistics/Legal teams internally.
• ### Develop and manage relationships with key customers.
• ### Achieve AOP Plan in terms of Sales & Profit, strictly adhering to company principles and guidelines.
• ### Regularly visit customers and ensure a high level of support for their continued business.
• ### Identify challenges as opportunities to grow, develop, and provide solutions.
• ### Proficient in government procurement processes like Rate Contract/GEM/Tenders, etc.
• ### Evaluate and communicate product and service needs for assigned accounts.
• ### Complete all required administrative duties, including reports and follow-up files.

### Qualifications:

• ### M.Sc in Life Science stream/Biotechnology or equivalent experience with at least seven years of validated industry experience.

### Skills and Experience:

• ### Sound technical knowledge of life science product segment and workflow solutions.
• ### Prior experience and understanding of workflows in molecular, protein, and cell biology.
• ### Equipped with product information and relevant scientific knowledge.
• ### Willingness to travel extensively.
• ### Proven experience in end-to-end sales for a similar portfolio.
• ### Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• ### Ability to work in a matrix organization structure.
