Position Overview

The Account Manager will oversee the financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information for MyScaai Bharat Construction. This role requires a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and team management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting team, coordinating with various departments, and supporting the company's financial goals. A thorough understanding of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) current policies is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Management and Reporting:

- Oversee all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

- GST and TDS Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with current GST and TDS policies and regulations.

- Monitor and manage GST returns, payments, and reconciliations.

- Oversee the accurate deduction, deposit, and return filing of TDS.

- Stay updated with changes in GST and TDS regulations and ensure the company adheres to them.

- Provide guidance and training to the accounting team on GST and TDS matters.

- Team Leadership and Development:

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.

- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

- Financial Analysis and Strategy:

- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities.

- Analyze financial data and create reports to identify areas for improvement.

- Assist CFO with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

- Support and advise on financial implications of business activities.

- Compliance and Audit:

- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and regulations.

- Coordinate and complete annual audits.

- Provide necessary information for audits and regulatory exams.

- Systems and Process Improvement:

- Evaluate and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

- Implement and monitor proper internal controls to ensure efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

Qualifications

- Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Experience:

- Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

- Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry is a plus.

- Skills and Competencies:

- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

- Thorough understanding of current GST and TDS policies.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month
