Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced Accountant to join our growing interior design company. The ideal candidate will handle financial record keeping, reporting, and compliance to ensure smooth financial operations. The Accountant will also assist in budgeting, payroll, invoicing, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
• Invoicing & Payments: Generate and manage client invoices, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation.
• Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing for employees, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Taxation: Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other tax returns, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile daily bank statements and track cash flow to ensure the company's financial health.
• Vendor Management: Process and track payments to vendors, ensuring timely payments and maintaining good vendor relationships.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other key financial metrics.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
• Internal Controls & Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits, and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CA, CMA) will be an added advantage.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the interior design or construction industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
• Strong MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of Indian Taxation Laws: Familiarity with GST, TDS, and income tax regulations.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data management.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial staff.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of the interior design industry and its financial operations.
• Experience in managing multiple accounts or clients simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
