Job Description

:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Canadian-based logistics company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. You will also handle accounts payable/receivable, reconcile bank statements, and ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports. Manage accounts payable and receivable. Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws and accounting standards. Collaborate with the team to support financial operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation preferred). Proven experience in accounting, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry. Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
