Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct periodic audits and provide recommendations for improving financial procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage and track fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time.
• Manage and oversee all tax-related activities, including income tax, corporate tax, and other statutory taxes.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
• Provide guidance on tax implications for various business decisions.
• Review and verify tax returns and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits and assessments.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to taxation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure tax compliance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
