As a Senior Accountant at Diamond White Cement Pvt Limited, you will play a key role in managing financial activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Leveraging your extensive experience in accounting and hands-on expertise in managing trial balance sheets, you will contribute to the financial success and growth of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Trial Balance Management: Lead the preparation and maintenance of trial balance sheets, reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues to ensure the accuracy of financial data and facilitate timely decision-making.
General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee the general ledger accounting process, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, to ensure proper classification and recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP principles.
Month-end and Year-end Close: Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and audit support, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy of reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
Cost Accounting: Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overhead, to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and optimize product profitability.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax advisors and external auditors to ensure compliance with tax
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting roles within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on financial reporting, trial balance management, and cost accounting.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial accounting standards, with hands-on experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and trial balance sheets.
Proficiency in accounting software and Tally (ERP) systems, with advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and data analysis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and data management.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in accounting principles and industry best practices.
Hands on experience in Sales, Purchase, Ledger, Reconciliation & Petty Cash.
