Role & responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management
Manage and oversee all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
Prepare budget forecasts to support strategic financial planning and maintain financial health.
Publish financial statements in a timely manner, ensuring they reflect accurate and up-to-date information.
Manage and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings with thorough documentation. Accounts Reconciliation & Financial Reporting
Settle accounts payable and receivable, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
Ensure all bank payments are completed timely and accurately.
Manage and report on the companys liquidity and overall financial health to inform decision-making.
Tax Compliance & Auditing
Compute and process all necessary tax payments and prepare accurate tax returns, with a focus on compliance with GST and Income Tax regulations.
Ensure all GST compliance requirements are met, including filing returns and managing records.
Audit financial transactions and documents, identifying areas for process improvements and maintaining accurate records.
Financial Documentation & Confidentiality
Prepare and manage balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other financial documents with accuracy.
Emphasise financial data confidentiality, conducting regular database backups and securing sensitive information.
Conduct financial reporting audits to maintain transparency and comply with company policies. Stakeholder Communication & Payment Tracking
Track and manage payments to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy in transactions and consistency in records.
Provide timely and insightful financial information to relevant departments and stakeholders to support company objectives.
Preferred candidate profile:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role with in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
