Requirement of Account Assistant in Mumbai s:- The Accounts Assistant reports directly to the Head of Accounts (or the Admin Manager, if the Head of Accounts position is vacant). The Accounts Assistant will work collaboratively with other Accounts Assistants (if any) and with other staff to ensure the smooth financial functioning of school activities - for example, HR for Salary and other employee-related financial transactions; Admin Manager for verification of POs and payment to vendors; etc. Job Overview Under the direction of the Accounts Office and Head of Accounts, the Accounts Assistant is responsible for carrying out all clerical tasks such as filing, handling mail, basic bookkeeping, records, and entry. The position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented person with excellent interpersonal & and communication skills and a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. Responsibilities and Duties Maintaining computerized Books of accounts (using Tally Accounting Software). Reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies. Processing all employee-related reimbursement forms. Maintenance and reconciliation of petty cash register. Arranging for the safe and secure banking of all incomes received. Bank tracing of fees and other incomes received. Preparing periodical Bank Reconciliation Statement. Preparation of payment vouchers. PF, ESIC, Professional tax calculation preparing all challans and making payment. Filing of quarterly returns for all campuses and downloading of Form 16, 16A. Uploading of Bank Statements, and PF challenges on online banking. Assisting in Auditing and finalization and tax assessment for data compilation. Assisting in overall accounts department work as per expertise in case of data compilations for MIS reporting. Fulfilling other duties as and when required from time to time
