Role & responsibilities :
Inventory Control Procedures and Systems:
Establish and maintain inventory control procedures and systems to ensure efficient
management of stock.
Stock Management:
Manage all incoming and outgoing stock transactions, including receipts, dispatches, and
movements.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and stock movements in documents and
databases.
Verify and control daily stock levels, managing SKU-wise inventory across multiple storage
locations.
Demand Forecasting and Reporting:
Generate stock demand forecasts and reports based on upcoming projects and operational
requirements.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate logistics for purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing.
Ensure compliance with GST movement of goods regulations, including E-way bills.
Project Inventory Oversight:
Assume ownership of inventory management for individual projects, ensuring alignment with
financial objectives.
Make timely recommendations regarding discrepancies between physical inventory and
books.
Propose cost-efficient inventory solutions and strategies for cost reduction.
Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
Review standard and actual inventory costs for each project, analyze deviations, and
implement corrective actions.
Prepare inventory budgets and rolling forecasts in SAP, providing regular reports on
variances.
Compliance and Audit Support:
Maintain inventory records in accordance with statutory requirements.
Lead inventory audits and ensure compliance with audit procedures.
Coordinate physical inventory verification with third parties, perform deviation analysis, and
update records in SAP.
Stakeholder Interaction:
Collaborate with project teams, purchase departments, and site managers to gather and
analyze data for informed decision-making.
Vendor Reconciliation Support:
Assist the finance team with vendor reconciliations by providing accurate and timely data as
needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Undertake any other assignments as assigned by management to support organizational goals.
Preferred candidate profile :
Cost Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or in a similar role,
preferably in Project/Infrastructure/Manufacturing industries.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, inventory control,
IND AS, and GST procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software, with SAP experience being an
advantage.
Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel with proficiency
in LOOKUPs and pivot tables.
Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills
with attention to detail.
Integrity and ability to handle confidential information with
discretion.
