They are the point of contact for major incidents and are in charge of ensuring that incidents are resolved quickly and effectively. Here are some responsibilities of an incident manager:
• Incident response Coordinate and direct all aspects of the incident response, including establishing and maintaining incident response procedures
• Communication Communicate with senior management and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on the status of the incident
• Incident reviews Identify, initiate, schedule, and conduct incident reviews to identify areas for improvement
• Preventive measures Implement preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of future incidents
• Incident documentation Document incident details, causes, and resolution actions for future reference
• Process improvement Establish continuous process improvement cycles to review and enhance the incident management process
