• Expert ability to interpret and advise on accessibility standards, principles, techniques, and best practices (including WCAG 2.2, Revised Sec 508, WAI-ARIA, ATAG )
• Expert knowledge of how applicable WCAG 2.1 success criteria map to development requirements for Web, iOS, and Android applications.
• Good understanding of Web Content and Mobile Accessibility Standards and Laws
• Proficient in understanding and authoring test strategies and plans for WAI-ARIA
• Proficient in carrying out comprehensive Accessibility testing of Web and Mobile applications including keyboard navigation, screen readers and color contrast tools
• Applying accessibility knowledge to a wide range of products, including mobile applications, Web applications, and Simulations/Animations
• Knowledge of how people with a variety of disabilities use assistive technologies (e.g., screen reader, screen magnifier, keyboard-only access) and the ability to analyze the impact of a barrier to accessibility.
• Written and verbal communication skills - able to present status, facts, thoughts, and ideas in a clear, concise, convincing, and organized manner
• Flexibility and adaptability - able to quickly and smoothly change direction based upon stakeholder or management direction, while remaining extremely organized and following tight deadlines
• Good knowledge around (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
• Communicate job-related challenges and opportunities with promptness and clarity
• Certified CPACC or DHS
