Job Summary :
The Accessibility Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that our digital products, websites, and applications meet accessibility standards and provide an inclusive user experience for individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to identify accessibility issues and validate solutions, ensuring that we comply with legal requirements, such as WCAG, Section 508, and other industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Accessibility Testing : Conduct comprehensive manual and automated accessibility tests on web applications, mobile apps, and other digital products to ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508, ADA, etc.).
• Audit & Reporting : Perform accessibility audits and generate detailed reports on issues identified, along with recommendations for remediation.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, product managers, and content creators, to embed accessibility into the product lifecycle and development processes.
• Issue Tracking & Remediation : Identify, document, and prioritize accessibility issues, working with development teams to track and resolve them within project timelines.
• User Experience : Conduct usability tests with users who have disabilities to ensure that products are not only accessible but also usable and user-friendly.
• Tool Utilization : Utilize a variety of accessibility testing tools, such as Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, and others, to identify and validate accessibility issues.
• Training & Advocacy : Advocate for accessibility best practices within the company and provide guidance and training to team members about accessibility standards and techniques.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on new accessibility standards, guidelines, and technologies, ensuring that the organization's accessibility practices remain current and effective.

Required Qualifications :

• 1+ years of experience in accessibility testing role.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1, Section 508, ADA, and relevant legal/regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, and browser developer tools.
• Experience with both manual and automated accessibility testing techniques.
• Ability to write clear, actionable reports that highlight accessibility issues and offer solutions for remediation.
• Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications).
• Experience in testing across different platforms, including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with assistive technologies such as screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) and other adaptive devices.
• Familiarity with the latest accessibility trends, tools, and best practices.
• Knowledge of front-end development and accessibility implementation.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Certification in accessibility (e.g., IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies or similar).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?360,000.00 - ?450,000.00 per year
