Job Description

• Provide personalized academic support to students enrolled in English language courses, including language proficiency assessments, study skills development, and goal setting.
• Prepare academic curriculum for language courses.
• Conduct one-on-one and group mentoring sessions to address students' learning needs, reinforce key concepts, and enhance their English language skills.
• Assist students in setting realistic academic and career goals, and develop action plans to help them achieve success.
• Offer constructive feedback on students' assignments, projects, and assessments, and provide guidance on how to improve their performance.
• Collaborate with course instructors to identify students who may benefit from additional support, and develop strategies to address their individual learning challenges.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in English language teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies, and integrate them into mentoring practices.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance, and communicate regularly with instructors, administrators, and other stakeholders.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
• Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance mentoring skills and stay updated on best practices in education.

Requirements

• Master's degree in English, Education.
• 3-5 years' experience as a mentor, tutor, or educator in an English language learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring, and a genuine desire to help students succeed academically and personally.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and educational technologies used for remote instruction (e.g., Zoom).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of students and the organization, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
