Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Academic Counsellor to join our team. As an Academic Counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through their educational journey, ensuring they make informed decisions about their academic paths and career goals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of educational systems, and a genuine commitment to student success.

Responsibilities:

Student Guidance:

Provide personalized academic counselling to students, helping them understand their strengths, weaknesses, and potential career paths.

Assist students in selecting appropriate courses, majors, and educational programs based on their interests and goals.

Admission Support:

Guide students through the college/university admission process, including application procedures, entrance exams, and documentation requirements.

Stay informed about various educational institutions, their admission criteria, and scholarship opportunities.

Educational Planning:

Collaborate with students to create individualized academic plans, considering their aspirations, academic performance, and extracurricular interests.

Monitor and track students' progress, providing timely feedback and support to address any academic challenges.

Resource Management:

Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in education technology, curriculum design, and learning resources.

Recommend and integrate relevant educational tools and resources to enhance the overall learning experience.

Communication and Collaboration:

Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and educators to create a supportive learning environment.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other academic counselors to share insights and best practices.

Data Analysis:

Analyze academic performance data to identify patterns and trends, enabling proactive intervention to support struggling students.

Generate reports on student progress and achievements for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education, Counselling, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Proven experience in academic counselling, preferably in an Ed-Tech environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Familiarity with educational technologies and online learning platforms.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
