Role Overview:
The incumbent will own the overall strategy & create a solid playbook to achieve the vision. They will manage a team that will support our internal sales in order to drive the overall productivity and sales effectiveness. In this role, you will manage all the tools and processes and will be responsible for solving complex operational problems to help our internal BD team work more efficiently and effectively.
Roles & Responsibility :
- Develop, own and execute overall business development strategy covering customer segments, pitch design, shaping the right value proposition, sales efficiencies, sales closures and customer retention
- Enable the BD org, to create and execute tactical initiatives in the service footprint by identifying areas of opportunity (e.g. Enterprise offices, Builder Groups, factories, large gated communities, commercial establishments etc) and execute plans to grow them
- Build & strategise the monthly targets, coach and develop sales professionals to ensure professional growth and success in managing their teams
- Manage & structure the incentives plans for all team members
- Own the lead generation & conversion funnel with marketing, and optimise to deliver sales through the appropriate channels
- Understand underlying systems and sales motions, and work with relevant stakeholders to build scalable sales processes
- Partner with our leadership team to deliver user story analysis, elaboration, and design.
- Create and maintain all training materials and guides for processes related to business applications.
- Engage with internal and external customers/teams to improve products and business processes
- Identify specific prospects/partners to approach, communicate the specific value proposition for their business and use case, and establish long-term, successful partnerships
- Ability to identify the business needs driving internal requests and translating into compelling solutions for our sales, marketing, and supply teams
Qualifications :
- 12+years of experience (indicative), showcasing demonstrated success in leading B2B/enterprise sales functions in a fast paced, solution selling environment. Scaling a sales function in a start-up would be a distinct advantage
- Experience selling nascent products/services into new markets is desirable.
- Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction required.
- Proven leadership qualities to get into the details to maximise sales output from the footprint.
- Directly managed a team of business development managers in a multichannel environment.
- Highly digitally literate, and experienced with modern sales tools.
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment that moves quickly and must juggle multiple priorities. Good knowledge about Bangalore region & its feasibility
- Must be metrics-driven. Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business by the numbers, ie, project management capabilities
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
- Understanding of agreements, compliance or legal nuances dealt with enterprise clients.
- Bachelors / Masters degree from top tier institutions.
- Prior working experience in telecom or real estate will be an added advantage.
