As an integral part of Intel\'s new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry-standard design packages.

This business unit is completely dedicated to the success of its customers with full P and L responsibilities. This model will ensure that our foundry customers\' products will receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement and capacity commitments. IFS is already engaged with customers today starting with our existing foundry offerings and we are expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies, which are optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal for high-performance applications.

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive semiconductor 3DIC SOC design engineer with strong digital BE experiences

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Participate in 3D IC reference design flow development using Intel advanced 3DIC processes to strategically promote Intel technologies to customers.
  • Participate in development of 3DIC reference design and focus on digital BE using commercial tools from vendors such as Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens, Ansys, etc.
  • Having a good understanding of automated Place Route PNR flows.
  • Hands-on experience on STA (Static Timing Analysis), Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS)
  • Worked on debugging flows - physical verification: DRC, LVS, ERC, Density, EM & IR, etc. (Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor-graphics).
  • Hands on Design for Testability (DFT)
  • Cross-functional interface with IC design, CAD/DAE, thermal and system/product teams.


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:
\xef\xbf\xbd Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related fields with at least 5 year industry experiences or Master\'s egree with 2 year industry experiences.
\xef\xbf\xbd Strong skills and experiences in physical design, physical STA, verification, synthesis of digital circuit design.
\xef\xbf\xbd Strong skills with Synopsys EDA tools including IC compiler II, Fusion compiler, IC validator, IC workbench. Cadence EDA tools including virtuoso layout & schematic editor & Innovus tool, PVS.
\xef\xbf\xbd Solid knowledge of full design cycle from RTL to GDSII and understanding of underlaying concepts of IC design, implementation flows and methodologies for deep submicron design
\xef\xbf\xbd Scripting experience in TCL, python or perl
\xef\xbf\xbd Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; strong team player.

Preferred Experiences in one or more items below:
\xef\xbf\xbd Experiences in 2D and 3D simulation tools for extracting package layout models for timing analysis.
\xef\xbf\xbd Familiar with Cadence Innovus
\xef\xbf\xbd Product design experience is a plus

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
