About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D Scan Cleanup Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing 3D scans of miniature models to prepare them for 3D printing. Your work will directly impact the quality and accuracy of our final printed products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scan Cleaning and Preparation: Remove noise, artifacts, and imperfections from 3D scans.
• Repair holes, gaps, and other irregularities in the scan data.
• Optimize scan resolution and file size for efficient processing.
• Model Optimization: Align, scale, and orient 3D models to meet printing requirements.
• Apply necessary transformations and manipulations to ensure accurate printing.
• Create watertight, manifold models suitable for 3D printing.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of cleaned and optimized models.
• Identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies.
• Ensure models meet our high-quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with 3D artists, designers, and Sr Sculptor to understand project requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and scanning software (e.g., Sculpting Software, MeshMixer, MeshLab, Mud-Box & Mari, Photoshop).
• In-depth understanding of 3D printing technologies and limitations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A passion for 3D modeling and a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with miniature models and high-resolution scans.
• Knowledge of photogrammetry and 3D Scan Post processing Technique.
