Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced 3D Character Artist with strong command on Anatomy, Sculpting, Modelling, Texture, Rigging and Skinning. This role demands proficiency with industry-standard practices, tools, and an understanding of efficient workflows for creating characters for various platforms. You should possess a strong blend of artistic talent, technical expertise, and collaborative skills to create both realistic and stylized characters that convey lifelike qualities. Additionally, you'll need the ability to optimize these characters for mobile platforms, balancing high-quality visuals with efficient performance.You need to be flexible to iterate and improve your work based on review feedback.
Job Responsibilities
• Character Modeling:
• Create realistic and detailed 3D character models based on concepts and specifications provided by the art director. This includes sculpting, texturing, and rigging characters to ensure they are ready for animation.
• Asset Creation:
• Produce high-quality character assets that meet the technical requirements of the game engine while adhering to the artistic vision of the project.
• Utilize photogrammetry techniques and scanning technology to capture real-world likenesses, enhancing the realism of characters.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with animators, designers, and other artists to ensure characters are animated effectively and integrate seamlessly into the game environment.
• Feedback Incorporation:
• Revise and refine character designs based on feedback from team leads and peers to improve quality and alignment with project goals.
• Technical Optimization:
• Ensure that character models are optimized for performance in real-time applications, maintaining a balance between visual fidelity and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a 3D Character Artist in AAA and Mobile game development, with a strong portfolio showcasing character models.
• Software Proficiency:
• Expertise in industry-standard software such as Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine or Unity for real-time rendering.
• Artistic Skills:
• Strong understanding of anatomy, form, texture, and color theory. Ability to create realistic or stylized characters that resonate with real life characters.
• Technical Skills:
• Should know the Sculpting and retopology of the character
• Making Optimized characters for mobile games
• Character that are produced should be have proper topology and the details of the high model should be transferred to the optimized models
• Principles and workflows:
• Should be proficient in Character Creation principles such that the character look should be anatomically proper and the character topology should be ready for the animator. Suggesting workflow that can make the character skin and face look realistic
• Problem-Solving Abilities :
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to modeling and rendering processes.
• Adhering to Process:
• Ability to adapt to timelines and deliver outcomes accordingly.
• Feedback Incorporation:
• Should be comfortable giving and receiving feedback and iterating accordingly.
• New age- Skills:
• Using AI tools, to automate and make production fast
• industry standard tools and practices for creation of characters. Ex- Marvelous designer for cloth simulation and Familiarity with photogrammetry processes and tools for creating realistic textures and details from real-world references.

Internship Duration : 3 to 6 months Internships
Stipend: Upto 25,000 per month
Work Arrangement: Work from office
Work Schedule: Daily work timings of 09:00 to 18:30 IST with a 6-day work week.
