Job Title: 2D Drafter (ACMV/HVAC)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 2D Drafter with specialized experience in ACMV/HVAC systems to join our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and precise 2D drawings and layouts for HVAC systems in various building projects. The role requires proficiency in CAD software, a deep understanding of HVAC components and systems, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and architects to deliver high-quality designs that meet industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D Drafting Drawings:

Create detailed 2D drawings and layouts for HVAC and ACMV systems, including ductwork, piping, equipment placement (AHUs, chillers, fans, FCUs), and ventilation systems.

• Collaborate with Engineers and Designers:

Work closely with HVAC engineers and project managers to understand design specifications and ensure drawings meet technical requirements, codes, and industry standards.

• Review and Interpret Specifications:

Interpret HVAC system design specifications, building plans, and project requirements to create accurate drafts for mechanical systems in buildings.

• Update and Revise Drawings:

Modify and update drawings based on design changes, client feedback, or construction requirements. Ensure revisions are properly documented.

• Coordinate with Other Disciplines:

Ensure proper integration of HVAC systems with other building systems (e.g., electrical, plumbing, structural) by coordinating with other design teams.

• Provide Support During Construction:

Assist the construction team with interpreting drawings, addressing any queries, and providing additional drafting support as needed.

• Documentation and Filing:

Maintain an organized system for storing, updating, and retrieving design drawings and project documentation.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in HVAC drafting or design is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a 2D Drafter, with a focus on HVAC or ACMV systems.
• Hands-on experience in creating HVAC system layouts, ductwork plans, piping diagrams, and equipment placement drawings.
• Software Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory), with strong knowledge of drafting tools, layers, and symbols used in HVAC design.
• Experience with Revit or other BIM software is a plus.
• Familiarity with HVAC-specific software like Carrier HAP , Trane TRACE , or similar is an advantage.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of HVAC system components such as air handling units (AHUs), chillers, fans, ventilation systems, and associated piping and ductwork.
• Familiarity with HVAC design codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, local regulations).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and architectural blueprints.
• Attention to Detail:
• Ability to work with high precision and attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of all drawings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
