Cloud Infrastructure Architect (L6)

Role Scope




Assist broad portfolio of applications in accelerating their migration to AWS by building and maintaining architecturalblueprints and infrastructure as code platform, along with serving as an AWS center of excellence to provide training,enablement, and hands on support
Guide application teams as an SME on the usage of architectural blueprints that provide opinionated architecture, andenhance blueprints as services are introduced/upgraded or as warranted by evolving application requirements
Provide AWS best practices and recommendations for usage of EKS, ECS Fargate, S3, ElastiCache, APIGateway, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Secrets Manager, MSK, KMS, EFS
Assess changes and limitations of AWS services available within the JPMC public cloud environment, and providerecommendations and patterns for usage within the infrastructure as code platform and application specificimplementations
Core Skills
AWS Services (Level 400)
- Expertise in EKS, ECS, Fargate, ELB, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, AuroraPostgreSQL, Lambda, API Gateway, MSK, EFS
Kubernetes (Level 400)
- View, manage, and debug Kubernetes resources in an existing Kubernetes Cluster. Ability tounderstand Kubernetes architecture and its resources including but not limited to namespaces, deployments, pods,replicas, services, auto scaling, authentication, etc.
Documentation (Level 400)
- Must be able to clearly write, draw, and organize architectural diagrams, decisions,guidance documentation, and meeting notes for specific problems and solutions on weekly-basis.
Terraform (Level 300)
- Ability to guide the design of modules and review modules to assess fit for purpose.
Communication (Level 400)
- Ability to actively listen; and clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing.
Interdependent (Level 400)
- Ability to develop solutions on your own or with low guidance while assisting others withvarious technical issues.
Agile/Jira (Level 200)
- On-daily basis you must be able to manage and report own Jira User Stories and help desktickets during the current sprint. Must be able to articulate your user stories during sprint planning.
General Requirements Location:
Consultant must be based in India and able to attend meetings as required during EDT timezone morning
Level:
We are open to both Senior and Staff Consultants for this role, with experience leading on one or more AWSProServe engagements
Scale:
Understanding of large-scale enterprise AWS deployments (250+ AWS accounts) is required
Certifications:
AWS Associate Solutions Architect Certification preferred
Tenure:
Tenure of 6+ months in AWS (or partner equivalent) preferred


Industry:
Past experience working with regulated industries (FSIs, Healthcare, Government) preferred (Global FinancialServices experience a plus)
Background Check:
All resources will have to go through the JPMC background check; 2-4 week onboarding period isneeded once a candidate is identified.
