Team Member Job Description: Top Duties and Qualifications
Job Responsibilities
• Greet customers, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude, including answering questions about the menu.
• Input orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payment using a credit / debit card or UPI, calculating change accurately and quickly as required.
• Work together with the kitchen team to prepare food such as Momos, Burgers, Wraps, Fries, Crunch Delight, Veg. Delight, Coolers, Shakes, Refreshers and etc. while following cooking instructions, safety procedures.
• Use specific kitchen equipment such as Electric Tandoor, Induction, Steamer, Fryer, Ice Crusher, Mixer Grinder and Microwave to prepare food to customer’s preference.
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing tables, returning trays to the kitchen, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to create work schedules, train new employees, and resolve any interpersonal issues as needed.
• Handle guests concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to restaurant policy.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
• Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English.
• Flexible to work at night, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long hours at a time and work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Proven work experience as a Restaurant Cook in a reputable Restaurant, Cook, or a similar role in the Hospitality industry.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of cooking procedures.
• Experience in the preparation of cold / Hot food items / beverages
• Knowledge of food sanitation and health code.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Strong understanding of food handling techniques.
• Willingness to work in a high-temperature environment.
• A highly customer-oriented individual.
• Ability to solve a problem independently.
Team Member Duties:
• Assist Manager with Regular Routine work.
• Handle / operate POS (Point of sale), Steamer, fryer, induction, & beverages station
• Ensuring that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
• Weighing, measuring, mixing, and preparing ingredients according to recipes posted.
• Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
• Arranging and garnishing dishes.(eg .pan-fried topped up with spring onion)
• Working well under pressure and within the time limit.
• Morning shift:
• Open restaurant, & Prepare for service.
• Setting up and organizing the food station.
• Music and interior lights to be switch on
• Check and prepare vegetables for service
• Various Dips to prepare (Hot garlic, White, Peri-Peri, Mayo, Mint)
• Prepare steamer for service.
• Filter fryers oil and make it ready for service
• Make in place consumable items ( Boats, Boxes, Packing, Tapes, Dips, Sauces, Forks, fruit forks, straws, butter paper, trays, glasses, Glass lids, various seasoning)
• Prepare white sauce and if required Peri Peri sauce.
• Check sauce bottles and refill accordingly maintain clean and tidy.
• Overview for housekeeping.
• Thorough check for hygiene and cleaning.
• Be presentable at the times.
• Evening shift:
• Check designated work station for service.
• Check and prepare vegetables for service
• Various Dips to prepare.
• Setting up and organizing the food station.
• Make in place consumable items ( Boats, Boxes, Packing, Tapes, Dips, Sauces, Forks, fruit forks, straws, butter paper, treys, glasses, Glass lids, various seasoning)
• Prepare white sauce and if required peri peri sauce.
• Check sauce bottles and refill accordingly maintain clean and tidy.
• Overview for housekeeping
• Thorough check for hygiene and cleaning
• Be presentable at the times.
• Prepare restaurant for closing.
• Clean Kitchen and work stations inc. Equipments Accordingly.
• Remove garbage from kitchen and from dining area.
• Close restaurant and verify all electrical appliances are off.
• Work as a team.
• Handling multiple food orders at the same time.
• Training the junior staff, if necessary.
• Maintaining the quality and standard of the food.
• Storing the food ingredients in a proper hygienic way.
• Following all the food sanitation and hygiene procedures.
• Maintaining the kitchen stock levels and restocking, if needed.
Store Keeping Duties:
• Stock Inventory of deep freezer items (eg. Momos, patties, ice cream, ch. popcorn, ch. Tikka, ch. Wings, paneer tikka, CCR, potato pops, potato wedges, spring roll, French fries.)
• Soft drink (Inventory and Order)
• Burger bun (Inventory and Order)
• Vegetables (Inventory and Order)
• Sauce (Inventory and Order) spl. CCB to raise requisition if less than 5 pkts
• Coolers and crushes (Inventory and Order)
• And any other Consumable item
